Hello, At the moment there are dozens of problems with building procedures of binaries. 1.) xetex doesn't build on (my) mac any more (should be harmless as the old version is still there); I suspect that Jonathan is busy at the moment with other things as he didn't answer yet. Can some other Mac user please try to build XeTeX (just to check if I'm the only one with problems) 2.) pdftex and luatex don't build on ubuntu (hopefully Peter has some other linux distribution to build 64-bit linux binaries there) 3.) luatex 0.37 did not work on recent 32-bit linux - please check if 0.38 works OK 4.) there were some issues with building pdftex that have been resolved a few days ago Did I miss anything else? Indeed: no problem here with pdftex SVN #545 and luatex beta-0.38.0 on openSUSE 64bit (already committed). Cheers, Peter -- Contact information: http://pmrb.free.fr/contact/

Thanks. After setting export CONFIG_SHELL=/bin/bash it started working for me as well, I just over-reacted before reading archives and Luigi's earlier mail. But still no idea about XeTeX on Mac. Mojca

No issues for xetex and luatex, but pdftex builds only with gnu make even his presence it isn't checked. Build-binaries.sh has been updated? (I use my own version)

Yes, I had to update it because: - pdfTeX's building script name and path (where the binary is built) have changed - LuaTeX changed the way of crosscompiling binaries (that probably doesn't concert your platform) - we need to enforce OS X 10.4 compatibility (that doesn't concern your platform either) I'm not sure that I understood your first question, but I'm sure that pdfTeX could not have been built with the old script. Is there anything that we could change to make the default building script work for you? Mojca
