[Context] another missing executable bit
Hello list, Haven't tried to install powerpc minimals for a while hence only now I report this bug. Upon installation texlua does not get executable bit set and installation fails. ----------- kopszak@pacyfik:~/context25122010$ bash ./first-setup.sh receiving incremental file list bin/ bin/mtx-update.lua bin/mtxrun bin/texlua sent 91 bytes received 5724874 bytes 673525.29 bytes/sec total size is 5723924 speedup is 1.00 /usr/bin/env: texlua: Permission denied When you want to use context, you need to initialize the tree by typing: . /home/kopszak/context25122010/tex/setuptex in your shell or add "/home/kopszak/context25122010/tex/texmf-linux-ppc/bin" to PATH variable if you want to set it permanently. This can usually be done in .bashrc, .bash_profile (or whatever file is used to initialize your shell). -------------- Best Piotr -- http://okle.pl

Most probably it is a bug in an old version of SVN. What version of SVN do you use on computer where you compile the binaries? It seems that only you and Peter Münster have problems with that. I added an explicit "svn propset svn:executable on current/luatex" now, so I hope that the problem will go away next time when you will build your binaries again ... Mojca
I'm using current debian lenny svn. Is it wrong?
svn, version 1.5.1 (r32289)
compiled Oct 7 2010, 07:07:12
Will try to make a new build tonight.

Of course nothing is wrong with that.

I use 1.6.5. Peter who has the same problem uses version 1.5.7 (r36142).
Will try to make a new build tonight.
A new build of luatex binaries or a new build of svn? You don't need to rebuild luatex binaries. I hope that I fixed the problem now (all that needs to be done is "svn propset svn:executable on current/luatex"). It might help to have a more recent version of SVN, but I also added an explicit command to get the proper rights. I have no idea how it will work when the next release of LuaTeX is out. But at least there is hope. If you notice the problem next time again, please use the statement mentioned above and commit again (and please report). Mojca
