Probably not, unless this implies loading the map file from the other
typescript (which I doubt). Just load the 8r-base.map instead of 
ec-base.map (that is also a one-liner, and will work).
ah, i see, so this is the patch:

\starttypescript [adobekb] [ec]

\loadmapfile[8r-base.map]
\loadmapfile[ec-base.map]

.....
