Sure, Taco is secretly working on latexlib.  This allows you to run
LaTeX directly in Context:
\startLaTeX
\textbf{hello}
\stopLaTeX
Oh, you underestimate the power of the dark side. Running latex inside
context is already possible using the external filter module[1].
