Feature request: \digits command

Hi everyone, The \digits command is really great when it comes to typeset numbers in different languages. However, I miss one functionality from the numprint package in latex: when you type for example $e-5$, you get 10^{-5} (with no dot in front of it). Would it be possible to add an option to \digits to reproduce this? Best wishes, Morgan

Why do I get an error on \starttext \showmathfontcharacters \stoptext When that macro is defined in s-mat-10.mkiv as \unexpanded\def\showmathfontcharacters {\dodoubleempty\doshowmathfontcharacters} ConTeXt ver: 2013.04.16 12:08 MKIV beta fmt: 2013.4.19 int: english/english ! MKIV caption separator, revisited

Has any progress been made in the past few years implementing modifiable separators for captions under MKIV? This was raised as an issue by (at least) Mojca Miklavec in December 2010 (http://www.mail-archive.com/ntg-context%40ntg.nl/msg51542.html) and by Andy Thomas 18 months later (http://www.mail-archive.com/ntg-context%40ntg.nl/msg63937.html) (Their issues with stopper have been resolved. In MKIV it is numberstopper.) Here is an MWE demonstrating the problem. It compiles cleanly, but the separator remains the default period. SOLVED: too many open files

Hi again, in my current songbook project I use t-filter with LilyPond as shown in http://wiki.contextgarden.net/LilyPond with latest beta MkIV on OSX. Every line (system) of notes is included as its own PDF to leave the page breaking to ConTeXt. But since I have some hundred songs with each a few lines, it sums up... I don't understand if the error is really from LilyPond or from LuaTeX (I guess the former), and how I would be able to increase the number of possible files (in bash on OSX 10.8.4). So probably it's more a general Unix question than a ConTeXt one, but anyway... ANALYSIS: $ ulimit -n 256 $ sysctl kern.maxfiles kern.maxfiles: 12288 $ sysctl kern.maxfilesperproc kern.maxfilesperproc: 10240 SOLUTION: $ ulimit -S -n 2048 (Properly describing a problem often helps to solve it. Overlays as background in textbackground

Hi, overlays are not displayed when used as a background for textbackground. halign broken

There seems something very much amiss with \halign in later ConTeXt versions. This typesets fine in PlainTeX and is an example taken from a textbook. \tabskip=1em\halign{% \hfil\it#\hfil&\hfil#\hfil&#&\hfil#\crA&B&C&D\cr} Also in contextversion 2012.05.30 (from a TeXlive distribution). But it fails at least in ConTeXt ver: 2013.03.20 10:34 MKIV and in ConTeXt ver: 2013.04.16 12:08 MKIV beta with the following error !
