no paragraph footnotes when located in text

Dear list, using current latest (2022.01.15 17:32), I still experience an already reported issue (https://mailman.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2022/104770.html) \setuppapersize[A6] \showframe\showgrid %~ \setupnote[footnote][paragraph=yes] \setupnote[footnote][location=text, paragraph=yes] \setupnotation[footnote][alternative=serried, width=broad] \starttext \startlinenumbering[step=3] \dorecurse{25} {a\footnote{b} } \stoplinenumbering \placenotes[footnote] \stoptext I don’t get paragraph notes with "location=text". (again) diferent prefixsegments for different references

Dear list, I asked this some time ago (https://mailman.ntg.nl/pipermail/ntg-context/2021/102394.html) Using the following sample: \starttext \definereferenceformat[itsc][in] \setupreferencestructureprefix[itsc][default] [prefixsegments=section] \chapter{Chapter} \section[b]{Section} \itsc[b] and \in[b] \stoptext Is there a way that the prefixsegments for \itsc is only section, without modifying it for \in? SimpleSlides and Visual counters

Hi all, in particular Aditya M. and Thomas A.S., It seems that the visual counter in SimpleSlides module (the version I have from ConTeXt Garden is from 2014) does not work fine with the latest LMTX. Is the issue is known ? If so, is there a new version of SimpleSlides in which the issue has been fixed ? Best regards: Otared

Changed behavior from \convertnumber{arabicdecimals}{..} as a textcommand for note

This week I updated ConTeXt minimals. Before then, I used the following code so that footnotes to Arabic passages would have parenthesis around them and use the digits used in Arabic texts in the Middle East (e.g. ٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩). \setupnote [arfootnote] [ headstyle={\switchtobodyfont[kitab]}, textcommand=\footnotenotenumbercommand, alternative=text, ] \define[1]\footnotenotenumbercommand{{\high{(\convertnumber{arabicdecimals}{#1})}}} Since the update, for the 123rd footnote, I now get `(123arabic)` instead of `(١٢٣)`. Elsewhere, I do get the expected output (i.e. `١٢٣٢`) when calling \convertnumber{arabicdecimals}{1232} I'm still relatively new to ConTeXt, so I'm unsure if what used really is correct, or if it was wrong and I now need to find the right way to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. —Musa

Itemize columns with MPgraphics: another vertical spacing puzzle

Hi List, I need to itemize graphics when I use those graphics as the choices in a multiple choice question. When I do that in columns, I am getting excess space below the graphics. See example code and output below. Any suggestions for how I get rid of this space? I’m not sure if this is related to the itemize column spacing in my previous comment. Thanks, again! Spacing issue in itemize

Hi list, When I define an items group, it seems to mess up the spacing for a nested item group. See example below. Any ideas? I’m typesetting with > ConTeXt ver: 2022.01.06 19:51 LMTX fmt: 2022.1.9 int: english/english on an M1 Mac. Thanks! Hi all, I have updated to the latest version and it seems that the MarkDown module is no longer part of the context installation. I get an 'undefined control sequence' error for \processmarkdownfile and the module files are gone. Is this on purpose? Why has it been removed? Can this please be restored? MWE \usemodule[markdown] \starttext \processmarkdownfile{file.md} \stoptext Manual solution: I have found the files 'm-markdown.lua' and 'm-markdown.mkiv' but I am not sure where/how to install them? Hello everyone, I'm a new Context user, so pardon me if it's obvious. I found the cleartype typescript, but can't figure out how to use it. I thought it would be as easy as: \usetypescript[cleartype] But I am confused as to what to put in \setupbodyfont[?] (there are several sans fonts to choose from).

\setupheadertexts not working when text contains \subject

I've found an unexpected interaction between \setupheadertexts and the \subject command, and I'm hoping that someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. Version: current version: 2022.01.10 08:36 I'm trying to set a book whereby - chapter title pages have no headers - left hand (even) pages have the chapter title in the left header and the book title in the right header - right hand (odd) pages have the book title in the left header and the author's name in the right header The following MWE does this perfectly provided the \subject line is commented-out. When the \subject line is included then the author name disappears - there's just a blank space in the header. MetaFun: textext.origin, thelabel.origin not positioned on baseline

Hello again List, Now I’m making diagrams using MetaFun. The MetaFun manual describes an “origin” option for positioning textext’s and label’s on the baseline. However, this dose not appear to be happening with the code in the manual (below). In fact, the diagram in the manual dose not show the textext’s and label’s on the baseline. This is on page 144 of metafun-p.pdf. Maybe I misunderstand what is supposed to be happening here. Thanks!
