serial letters

How would you approach serial letters, e.g. to all members of a club? (Actually I need to send out donation receipts.) I’d like to use the letter module, since my usual letter design is using it. I can export the addresses to CSV, JSON, Lua tables or whatever or transfer them to a SQLite db. Would it make more sense to read them in Lua and combine this data with a buffer, or to write a single tex file for every letter? I know how to do the latter, but I’d like to learn a more ConTeXt-ish way. Would it make sense to use the bibliographies module? Status of Asymptote

Dear all, I'd like to know what is the status of Asymptote in Context. To my knowledge, metapost/metafun only support 2D (except with the additional libraries from Roegel, which would have to be cleaned up a bit). Otherwise, what shall be used for 3D drawings in Context? TikZ? Something else? Thanks in advance. Alex

Firefox doesn't show the "yes", nor Acrobat X, but SumatraPDF does. I modified your definition as: \definefield[test][check][cbox][][] And now the "yes" doesn't appear. Convertnumber with \ref[number] fails in MkIV, works in LMTX

Hello list, The following fails with ConTeXt ver: 2021.10.24 21:45 MKIV but works with the companion LMTX. The error message is:tex error > tex error on line 6 in file G:/TestConTeXt/convert.tex: ! Incompatible glue units , pointing to the second \convertnumber line. \definelabel[XX]%[text=,before=,after=,alternative=inright] \startTEXpage[offset=2em] abc\XX[xx]\par \ref[number][xx] · \convertnumber{r}{1} · \convertnumber{R}{\ref[number][xx]} \stopTEXpage In this case I am trying to display with roman numerals the number generated in the label created through \definelabel. TeXGyre Heros on Firefox

Dear all, there were some discussions on pdf viewers on the list and I know that things are not always fine. I now have a problems with the Firefox pdf viewer and TeX Gyre Heros. The font looks uneven in FF, no problems elsewhere. When I scroll into the pdf to set the display to 150% or more the font shows up just fine. So it seems to be a display problems with firefox. I tried several pdf versions no change. ConTeXt meeting 2022 – please register!

Hi folks & friends, I’d like to remind you to register for the current ConTeXt meeting (September 12–18 in Germany), we must close registration in about two weeks, and my list is still rather short. https://meeting.contextgarden.net/2022/ If you registered early and got only an error message from the form, please register again. And please don’t think you could avoid a registration because everyone knows you’ll come (except Hans). Otherwise it’s normal that you got no response from me (sorry!). We have no Covid restrictions in Germany any more, even if the incidences are high, except that you must wear a mask in trains and are asked to in some other places. I’d ask you to test yourself before traveling. It would be nice if you would register also for online attendance, just for my information. Since the regular online meetup would be during the conference, we will drop that. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Hraban
