Hello list, I am trying to insert a manual line break inside of a TABLE cell, but can't seem to get it to work. I'm typesetting some mathematical formulae. Space after hyphen in exported html

Hi, Thanks a lot Hans and everyone who has worked on it for the new upload! From what I can tell from my few projects, math in HTML export seems to have significantly improved. I have just noticed what seems to be a small issue with hyphenated words in the HTML export: an extra space is added when the pdf output has a line break after the hyphen. Here is a minimal example showing the issue: __________________________________________ \setupbackend[export=yes] \starttext blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah co-worker \stoptext __________________________________________ (The number of ‘blah’s is adjusted to that ConTeXt adds a line break after ‘co-’ in the pdf.) The relevant part of the .html output is: <div> blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah co- worker</div> (Notice the space after ‘co-’.) Would there be a way to avoid this extra space? As an alternative, is it possible to prevent line breaks after a hyphen? (I tried playing with \setupbreakpoint, e.g., \setupbreakpoint[test][-][nleft=100,nright=100], but did not manage to get it working for the hyphens, although it seems to work well for other characters.) linebreak in setupheadertexts

Hi folks, once again I have a problem that I can't solve: I would like to have a linebreak for \setupheadertexts. \setupheadertexts [{\bf Johnson}, Uwe][{\sl Mutmassungen über Jakob}] \starttext Freiheit ist die Einsicht in die Notwendigkeit. \stoptext *Johnson,* Uwe should be the result. Unfortunately, what I have tried (\\, \crlf, \break) does not work. Thanks for any help Tómas

Hi, I uploaded lmtx, with a few fixes (like size in math fences) and additions (like a language key in highlights). However, the most intrusive change is that we also do some overload protection (currently configured as warning) on values, so for instance some (primitive) token lists and parameters are now protected against overloads. So, we already had protection at the \cs level, now we also have at the value level (\count<n> etc). Think: \permanent\def\foo{...} % \foo can't be redefined \newcount\mycounter % \mycounter is defined permanent by default \immutable\mycounter 123 % \mycounter can't be changed (@ user level) and alike. This second feature is mostly for deep-down definitions and usage. In the future some more quantities might get that level of protection. Just for the record, this is also supposed to be active at the lua level. In a similar fashion we have (already) some protection for callback abuse in place. The additional overhead can be neglected. It can be that we have some unforeseen side effects but the test suite runs ok as do some of mikaels more complex and demanding documents (that we use to test this). Problem with the second \HL in the matrix

Dear List, After some work I have this example. \starttext \startformula \startmathmatrix [fences=parenthesis] \VL\NR \HL \NC \NC \NC \NC \NC \NC \VL \NR \stopmathmatrix \stopformula \stoptext My problem is, that after the second \VL the \HL goes on the left side, and is too long, and not on the right side. Animation using MetaFun

Dear all, I tried to make an animation which draws Cardioid curve. I found a code which draws Cardioid using circles. Since I’d like to draw it differently, I modified it a little. 1. Define the z[] values in the \startMPdefinitions block 2. Modified the drawing method in \startMPbuffer When I run it, it doesn’t recognize the z[] values defined already. I think that the z[] values are not delivered to \startbuffer. I tried \startMPinclusions, \startMPinitialization, but I couldn’t succeed. 1. How can I deliver the z[] values into the buffer? 2. What is wrong in the following code? Thank you for reading. language in tagging and export

Hi, A while ago there was some demand for language support in tagging and export (which already has some). One approach is to do it automatically, so test {\nl test} test would then be split in pieces but also error prone and maybe non-intentional. But then one can actually wonder about structure there anywaym so this makes more sense: \definehighlight[isdutch] [language=nl,color=darkred] \definehighlight[isgerman] [language=de,color=darkblue] \definestartstop[someczech] [language=cz,color=darkgreen] \definestartstop[somefrench][language=fr,color=darkyellow] % pablo will check the other languages and also the % kind of language tags we want to end up in the pdf % as he will check how viewers 'speak' - yesterday i % suddenly got some english youtube video where the % normally low pitch male voice (that i knew) became % high pitch female dutch for no reason ... and i % never asked for that ... so I fear future pdf % viewers test \isdutch {test} test test \isgerman {test} test test \someczech {test} test test \somefrench{test} test so that is what i added. Now, the question is, what commands (environments) need support for the language key; we have some 70 potential places and 270 possible edits .. oneliners, but kind of boring as we need to expliclty check where it kicks in (probably needs some distracting music on the speaker to get it done) Concerning impact on performance, I tested with 10000 * 2 of the above highlights and got this: % 20K no support : 2.52 % 20K language not set : 2.55 % 20K language set : 3.12 % needs to be compensated so we loose some performance which means i have to gain in back someplace else (kind of regular challenge when adding something) so, the question is 'selective' or 'everywhere' (this is independent of tagging etc ... assuming some structure it's trivial to add there; a general {\nl test} is more tricky as then we need to do more consistency testing, which i got kind of working and then removed again because in the end we then reward sloppy code which is bad and we should stay away from that) Hans ----------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: 038 477 53 69 | www.pragma-ade.nl | www.pragma-pod.nl -----------------------------------------------------------------

weird issue with latest win64 binaries

Dear list, I‘m afraid that after updating to current latest (2025.07.08 17:48) at work in Win10, the win64 binaries didn’t work at all. Both `context --version` and `luametatex --version` gave the following message (and no more than that): Access denied Since I make a backup before updating, using the previous version is totally fine. Is there anything changed in the compilation that could affect binary execution? Many thanks for your help, Pablo
