Hi, I just updated the module writing guidelines, since I couldn’t find a description of the necessary structure of a module release file: https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Modules#Module_writing_guidelines I also added an explanation how the publishing via https://modules.contextgarden.net works. If you ever published a module, please check if its metadata is still correct, e.g. if the module works for MkIV / LMTX and how it should be published – some modules aren’t installable via rsync as outlined in https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Modules#ConTeXt_LMTX (For me, the “simplified version” works.) Is there a way to centrally add a list of indexed items to a sub category?

I have a document like this: \starttext \index{dogs} \index{cats} \index{flowers} \index{snails} \index{trees} \placeindex \stoptext As I understand, if you use \index{animals+dogs}, it will place dogs as a sub-category of dogs. Is there any way to control this centrally, for instance: \addtosub[animals]{dogs, cats, snails} \addtosub[plants]{flowers, trees} Such a way would make it so \index{dogs} places an entry for "dog" under "d" and "animals --> dogs" under "a". --Joel

Bug in context

Hi Hans, hi all, I mainly use ConTeXt in a server environment. So I am a friend of the console. I found a small problem there. When I invoke context with parameter --ansi, the logfile remains empty. I tried Linux aarch64 and Windows64. Greetings Lutz

Hi, The mtx-install-tikz is now mtx-install-modules, so mtxrun --script install-modules will show what to do. By looking at mtxrun --script install-modules --list some might be inspired to adapt then name of the archive to more fit the t-* scheme. Willi's updated module wins the price for the lonbgest name and I didn't want to impose on users to key that one in. So: - which ones are missing - which ones are obsolete - which modules deserve better names - do we need more features - should we push to and fetch from ctan instead (in the future) The outlier is tikz where we also need to wipe files (maybe more needs to be wiped). I had to adapt some 'unzip archives' code because two modules were kind of different (delayed compression data) and I hope it doesn't affect the regular installer (as I couldn't test that here) but we'll notice that soon enough. The lazy user can run mtxrun --script install-modules --install --all but best is to go lightweight (as there are some modules related to typescripts that might be outdates). Someone (not me) has to adapt the wiki. Custom TOC with makeup and setups

Hello, I am trying to create a presentation where at the start of each section in my presentation, a custom TOC page is shown. When I am at a particular section, the TOC will grey out all other sections (not implemented in my MWE). I have tried different ways but I find using makeups for the TOC page works ok (following https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Command/setuplistalternative and Aditya's presentation slides on their blog). My challenge is that when a makeup page is inserted, it leaves a page with the section name blank before it. How do I fix it? Any other way to achieve this is also welcome. new module installer and .tar.gz compression

Hans, many thanks for the new script to install modules in LMTX. I forced a new release of handlecsv (https://modules.contextgarden.net/cgi-bin/module.cgi/action=view/id=86) I provide the contents with a git address, so I cannot choose which kind of compression the code will have. Since imports from git use .tar.gz, these modules cannot be installed with the script (which seems to expect .zip compression exclusively). Sorry, but I don’t know how to force git urls to be added as zip packages in https://modules.contextgarden.net. Many thanks for your help, Pablo
