Dear Everyone, Following my attempts to create and learn Context's ways to manage fonts, I would like to ask about the following: I've created the structure for fonts in texmf-local folder and after running scripts they are listed. The output for Roboto Flex is as follows: identifier familyname fontname filename subfont instances robotoflex robotoflex robotoflexregular robotoflex.ttf thin extralight light regular medium semibold bold extrabold black extrablack thinitalic extralightitalic lightitalic italic mediumitalic semibolditalic bolditalic extrabolditalic blackitalic extrablackitalic What is the proper way to use family name or font name to create a typescript file and a goodies file to take advantage of optical sizes. Google's Roboto Flex is an upgraded Roboto as a variable font. I know that this topic has been discussed many times and I've read the fonts manual but still have these questions. Most of the examples are rather ready solutions or templates but not always cover ways how to figure out values from scratch and how they correspond. Thanks for help, Pawel

\setupitemize[indentnext=auto] broken?

In the wiki page https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Indentation there is the following example: %------------------------------------------------------------------------ \setupindenting[medium,yes] \setupitemize[indentnext=auto] \startitemize \item One \stopitemize This paragraph should be indented - due to the blank line after \type{\stopitemize}. \startitemize \item Two \stopitemize This paragraph should not be indented. %------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tragically, the paragraph which claims it should be indented is not, in both my test and the wiki page itself. xmlsetentity on the fly?

I would like to change an entity 'on the fly'. Example \def\DATE{THEDATE}\expanded{\xmlsetentity{DATE}{\DATE}} \startxmlsetups typ:event \def\DATE{NEWDATE}\expanded{\xmlsetentity{DATE}{\DATE}} Using &DATE; within the <event>. \stopxmlsetups However, using &DATE; inside an <event> always results in THEDATE and never in NEWDATE. Table of contents in the middle of a document

Hi, I was trying to have my "Acknowledgements" section/chapter before the table of contents but be contained within it. Is it normal that the table of contents is empty if there is a chapter that begins before it? ``` \starttext \chapter{Acknowledgements} Thank you \completecontent \chapter{Intro} \chapter{Problem} \chapter{Solution} \stoptext ``` I'm mostly looking for an explanation rather than a direct solution, I'd like to understand why it's empty. Hi, I uploaded a new lmtx. Again some updated math of which details will be revealed later. Apart from some details we added suport for fourier notations. help wanted: English native speaker as co-editor

Hi, as most of you know, I’m the editor of context journal, the annual magazine for all members of context group, AKA “proceedings of the [previous] ConTeXt meeting”. While I have some experience as an editor in German, my English is far from perfect, so I need to rely on a native speaker for proofreading. In the least years, Clyde was filling that role very diligently, but he just moved and can’t make the time again. Deadline for the current issue is only in August, but we’re already at ~100 pages with the articles I got (by Willi, Willi, Willi, Taco, Taco, Götz, and me) and I’d like to spread the work a bit. * Would you like to help with that? * – You don’t need to understand the code. – I want the text to be correct and understandable, we don’t need to reach literary quality. – You can work in PDF or in the sources, as you like. – More than one person is welcome. BTW I never thought of offering “our” articles to TUG and NTG, while I sometimes got articles that were published in TUGboat or MAPS first. (And I’m writing/translating for DANTE’s DTK regularly.) I’ll start to do that, since “recycling” makes sense, and it also can’t hurt to spread the word. This is also a reminder to hand in your talks from Dreifelden – or new articles! Hraban

Nuclear reactions

Hi list, I’m writing nuclear reactions. When add prescripts to atomic symbols with two letters, (Be, Sr, Xe, etc.) the prescripts split the atoms! (See output below.) \starttext Text: \lohi[left]{4}{10}Be. Reaction: \startformula {\rm U}^^{235}__{92} + n \rightarrow {\rm Sr}^^{94}__{38} + {\rm Xe}^^{140}__{54} + 2n \stopformula \stoptext I looked at \chemical and \molecule, but could not find a way to make isotopes with those. Any ideas? Gavin

Software upgrade for ntg and contextgarden server 6 April

Hi all, Tomorrow an attempt to upgrade the software on the ntg.nl / server-nl.contextgarden.nl server will be made. This means that various services will probably be offline for a while during the afternoon (CET timezone). Affected will be the NTG website, all the @ntg.nl mailing lists, the ConTeXt wiki, and some other subsites of contextgarden.net. We expect to the outage to last a few hours at most. I do not have an exhaustive list of potentially affected services and lists, so this message is sent out to the two largest mailing lists on the server. If you know of some other person or group that is likely going to be worried about a few hours of outage, please forward this message to them.
