Placing pagenumer with coordinates (layers)

Hello dear context-enthusiasts, I want to place the pagenumber on a double-sided project with coordinates. I tried the layer-mechanism: \setuppagenumbering[location=] \definelayer [pagenumber] [width=\paperwidth, height=\paperheight, location={left,top}, x=120mm,y=220mm, doublesided=yes] \startsetups layer \setlayer[pagenumber][even]{\pagenumber} \stopsetups \setupbackgrounds[page][setups=layer,background={pagenumber}] \starttext ~\page~\page~\page \stoptext And it works, but only for the left (even) page. On the right page I want to place the pagenumber on different coordinates. I tried to copy the layer and then change [even] to [odd] with different coordinates, but that did not work (no pagenumber printed). What do you suggest? Thank you. Huseyin

changes of color

Hi everybody After some part of a tex file where there is some startMPcode section the color of the text (e.g. blue) changes to black up until the next page in the pdf. Is there something I am missing ? Thank you. Thierry

I try to update my lmtx installation, but it seems that there is no contact with the server somehow... Smallcaps not working with a font that claims to have it - how can I confirm?

I'm trying to use smallcaps with a font called SquarishSansCT. According to mtxrun it has smcp as a feature... $ mtxrun --script font --list --info --pattern=squar [...] mtx-fonts | gsub features: mtx-fonts | mtx-fonts | feature script languages mtx-fonts | mtx-fonts | c2sc grek dflt mtx-fonts | latn dflt mtx-fonts | smcp grek dflt mtx-fonts | latn dflt mtx-fonts | ...but I can't seem to get that feature to work in this MWE which works for TexGyreSchola. \definefontfeature [smallcaps] [always] [smcp=yes] \definefontsynonym [Squar] [name:SquarishSansCT-Regular] [features=smallcaps] \definefontsynonym [Schola] [name:texgyreschola-regular] [features=smallcaps] \definefont [chapterTitle] [Squar at 18pt] \definefont [anotherTitle] [Schola at 18pt] \starttext {\chapterTitle A Chapter Title} \par {\anotherTitle A Chapter Title} \stoptext Have I missed something or is it the font? — Bruce Horrocks Hampshire, UK

tabulate with lp columns

There are some problems in the following MWEs. First example looks the same with MkIV and LMTX, second uses \NS that is only in LMTX. The first column is justified even if it’s defined as left aligned; this happens also with a simple "l" column. With "p" the width is ignored. Acrobat doesn’t display some imported metadata

Dear all, these are quite general questions but here they come. I defined modular styles for an organisation so that we can use different layouts with the same look and feel but still have many options to change things in a special document. I have styles for colors, fonts which are used everywhere but also styles for heads that are only used in legal context and other heads-styles used in other contexts. This works brilliant. I can even overwrite styles for one document only. I'd like to name this a cascading approach. While doing this I learned a lot and changed the way the style files are organised from time to time. Currently I start with colors and fonts. Then comes the page dimension definitions, makeups, headers and footers, headlines, the toc styles, lists and tables. Does anyone has a similar approach with a strong opinion how to organise the cascade? While working on this I often found that I defined something twice, because I forgot to delete a setup-command in a newly structured file. Is there a way to test this? Can I grep for a warning in the log files to find these duplicates?
