Does it have anything to do with the mac security when it wont let you open an app which has not come from the App store or a signed developer? If so you can go into the settings, and under security allow it to run. Although if it worked before I can't see why it shouldn't now.
I think I suggested to add this command. It makes sense if your MacOS quarantines the mtxrun binary, and it doesn’t hurt if not. The error message just says that there’s nothing to do.
