Hans,
I’m afraid there might be something wrong with beta from 2014.03.24 00:52.
With a book I’m writing, either in complete (from a previous --purgeall) or partial (from previous .tuc and .log files) compilation, the latest beta needs 8 runs to compile a document. It takes about 140 secs with luatex and about 100 with luajittex. Document source is exactly the same in all cases.
The same document with beta from 2014.03.07 11:42 (sorry, I don’t have the previous beta) requires a single run for a partial compilation which about 12 secs. Total compilation needs 4 runs that take about 50 secs.
I think that the same may happen with the ConTeXt reference manual. Since compilation is not direct, all statistics I can provide is that it took 358.491 secs with latest beta from 2014.03.24 00:52. and 296.778 secs with previous beta from 2014.03.07 11:42.
i noticed it too .. 8 runs indicates tuc file cycling .. fix tomorrow (normally context gets faster -) Hans ----------------------------------------------------------------- Hans Hagen | PRAGMA ADE Ridderstraat 27 | 8061 GH Hasselt | The Netherlands tel: 038 477 53 69 | voip: 087 875 68 74 | www.pragma-ade.com | www.pragma-pod.nl -----------------------------------------------------------------
