Nice to know! Actually it was not the gap that bothered me. You are right, DIN 676 B says 45mm. But this seems to be useless as all window envelopes (that I possess) have their window at 50mm. It defeats the purpose of the backaddress field, which is hidden by the DIN layout. Shouldn't they be able to read it in the Post office in case the addressee is wrong? Puzzled, Florian
