Ok, I won't use C... I guess it's a problem of my specific combination of Ubuntu/SElinux, Django/fcgi and LuaTeX... :-( I found others running latex from Django in exactly the same matter as ConTeXt fails for me. But I can call other programs that way, so part of the problem is in LuaTeX. Greetlings, Hraban
