[NTG-context] Alternating screen/noscreen rows on table

I am required by my customer to alternate between white and screen backgrounds for each row of a table for all tables, and there are lots of tables. I am considering adding code to each row of the table or else doing the thing in metafun/metapost. Advice, anyone? Just to mess things up further she wants the table number etc. above the table and left justified. I can handle that. The customer is not always right but the customer is always the customer.
