OpenType font problem

      A file that compiled properly last November now fails at the very end  
of processing with the error message

I have copies of GFSDidot.otf located  in
~/Library/texmf/fonts/type1/gfsdidot and
~/Library/texmf/fonts/type1/greek/gfsdidot

Any suggestions about how to resolve this will be gratefully received.
