Hello Ulrike, If you use Windows, try the GUI installer. It sets all needed env vars globally, and always works like a charm :) http://minimals.contextgarden.net/setup/context-installer/ContextMinimalInst... (But beware, it may interfere with MikTeX registry settings). Vyatcheslav
