[bug] included pdfs get shiftet
With the current devel version: 1in in x and y. What's the default for horigin and vorigin? Best regards Martin -- Martin Schröder, ms@artcom-gmbh.de ArtCom GmbH, Lise-Meitner-Str 5, 28359 Bremen, Germany Voice +49 421 20419-44 / Fax +49 421 20419-10 http://www.artcom-gmbh.de

This might happen because of a missing pdftex.cfg (in this case)... Best regards Martin -- Martin Schröder, ms@artcom-gmbh.de ArtCom GmbH, Lise-Meitner-Str 5, 28359 Bremen, Germany Voice +49 421 20419-44 / Fax +49 421 20419-10 http://www.artcom-gmbh.de

Probably. What should be the default for horigin & vorigin? All references I can find (including the manual) provide 1 true in as the default. Any reasons to set it differently? Yes. :-) Ignore this thread. Obviously without a cfg and any setting in the input, the default should be 0pt. Best regards Martin -- Martin Schröder, ms@artcom-gmbh.de ArtCom GmbH, Lise-Meitner-Str 5, 28359 Bremen, Germany Voice +49 421 20419-44 / Fax +49 421 20419-10 http://www.artcom-gmbh.de

Pdftex is also a driver; but doesn't the driver standard enforce an origin of (1in/1in); and shouldn't the default then be (1in/1in) instead of (0pt/0pt)?

Sorry, as you might have guessed: this was ment as a private reply to Martin. To all non-german speakers: sorry for the noise... On the other hand, I can take this opportunity to translate the last paragraph of my mail: basically it says that the new latex release (which is already available on CTAN, but not yet announced) does not work with latex = pdfetex, at least it cannot be used to process the ltnewsNN.tex files which are based on ltxdoc.cls. The class is doing weired things because \pdfoutput is defined but not set to 1. A bug report is on its way (bug id latex/3640). Thomas

indeed, that's the heritage of tex; also, most macro packages handle this (i guess) Hans
