I noticed that pdftex.version is back again because Olaf needs it. My scripts for changing the version currently don't update pdftex.version... Olaf, what do you need it for? It's where I get the pdftex version ID from when I create a web2c-pdftex tarball. -- Olaf Weber (This space left blank for technical reasons.)
