http://pdftex.sarovar.org/src/pdftex-20050924.patch.gz Please include the above patch by Thanh which defines \pdfprependkern etc. I'm personally using the subfont mechanism in the patch to typeset Japanese. The patch is for 1.30.3. So some hand work will be needed. Thanks, Akira
