it seems that since quite some time and still in 1.40-beta-20060213 font descriptors are not marked by /Type/FontDescriptor which is "required" by PDF Ref. version 1.6, section 5.7, table 5.19. But it seems to be ok also without :-) I'll try to add this. Regards, Hartmut
