Problem with long indices in LMTX

Hello Following MWE produces strange output in latest LMTX. mkiv (also latest) output is ok. \usetypescript[palatino] \setupbodyfont[palatino,11pt] \starttext \m{F_{\rm longIndex}=m_{\rm longIndex}a} \stoptext The spacing in the index is wrong. What am I missing? Thanks in advance Christian

conditional for undefined references

Dear list, consider the following sample: \setuppapersize[A8] \starttext \ConTeXt: \in[seac] Is it defined?: \doifelse{\in[seac]}{??}{undefined}{defined} \Lua: \ctxlua{context([[{\in[seac]}]])} Is it defined?: \startlua if [[{\in[seac]}]] == "??" then context("undefined") else context("defined") end \stoplua \stoptext Is there a way to deal with undefined references? I mean, I need a conditional to handle undefined references. Why do I have undefined references in my documents? Well, I have almost 90 (Markdown) documents that I need to compile as single documents and also as one document. When compiling as single documents, there are a few references to other documents. This is the reason why they are undefined. Any chance to be able to catch a "??" output (or \dummyreference) from "\in[reference]"? Many thanks for your help, Pablo -- http://www.ousia.tk

Different behaviour of textcommand (setupcaption+startplacefigure)

Hi all, I noticed the difference in behaviour of textcommand which depends on the location: for top, bottom and page the \crlf (see MWE) is applied while for the left and right not even if other values (\red, any-text) are used as expecterd. How could I activate the textcommand=\crlf for location=right? (The line break appears only the width of the figure becomes too small.) Tested with TL2019 and with version from Mar 6, 2020. Nodes module for commutative diagrams etc

Dear list, I need to typeset a handful of simple commutative diagrams like the one below, and I found the nodes manual by Alan that has exactly what I want. But what is the incantation to load the module, or am I missing something else? Space around comma in math mode

The space is between the "," and the "2". How can I eliminate this extra space ? \starttext Some text $1,23$ \stoptext Thanks

How do I handle strings with " characters in it in METAPOST?

I am using MetaFun (Lua code) to create METAPOST commands from an XML file. One of the issues I am running into that in METAPOST I have to handle strings with " characters in them and METAPOST doesn’t like those. The argument using the string Foo "Bar” Foo turns into someCall( "Foo “Bar” Foo”) I guess I have to change the string into something with explicit character codes for the " characters, maybe? In a later stage, these strings will be typeset by the ConTeXt side of things so they fit into a certain area within the METAPOST picture. What is my best approach? G

I have strings I get from an XML that I want to turn into labels for objects in a METAPOST picture (using MetaFun). These strings can have arbitrary characters (like accents) and some characters are coded. Examples of how these are coded: My "Application” Fünction [My] Application (Component) Business & service Besides the text, I know what the intended size (e.g. 10) and style (e.g. bold or italics) is. I have the string and I have a size of a box it needs to be fitted in and I have set a default font. Preferably, I’d like to code these in a box of the aspect ratio of the box it needs to fit in. So, for instance, I have a box that is 50 (high) by 130 (wide) and - if the text fits in the box, just typeset it. Break the words (yes or no) - if the size set does not fit in the box, make it smaller so it fits. Initially this is optional as the boxes will be of the size in which the text fits. - I might want to use some pattern to split it into multiple lines. E.g. if the last part of the string is “(some text)” put it on a last line by itself and if the first part of the string is “[some text]” put it on a first line by itself I am using Lua to generate METAPOST which are written by ‘context’ commands. I am not that experienced and I am looking for tips on a strategy to do this. Thanks in advance, G

\setupinteraction v commas

Hi all, I used the following MWE for creating the metainformation in PDF: \setupinteraction [title={a, b, c}, subtitle={a, b, c}, author={a, b, c}, keyword={a, b, c}, ] \starttext blah \stoptext While the title, subtitle and author contain the text without any change, in keyword all commas has been erased. Is this the expected behaviour? If yes, how could I write command inside? Best wishes, Tomáš
